Bind Superkey to a keypress in the Blender Preferences
Install Superkey
Open the Blender Preferences Add-ons menu and click "Install…":
Click "Install…"
Locate your superkey.zip file, select it, and click "Install Add-on":
Install by selecting the Superkey zip file
Make sure Superkey is enabled by checking its checkbox:
Enable Superkey
Choose your config file in the add-on preferences
After you've written your hotkeys into your config file, set the location of that file in the Superkey add-on preferences:
The Superkey add-on preferences in Blender Preferences > Add-ons > Interface
Bind a hotkey for Superkey in Blender
Add Superkey to your keymap in Blender Preferences. It's recommended to override the Quick Favorites keymap, because it's a key that's available everywhere in Blender with just a single tap.
First, disable the Quick Favorites keymap by going to Blender Preferences > Keymap > Window > Quick Favorites and unchecking its checkbox:
Disable the Quick Favorites keymap
Next, scroll to the bottom of the same "Window" section and click "Add New":
Add a new keymap
Lastly, add the Superkey keymap by entering object.superkey into the text box and making sure the Q key is mapped to Superkey:
Map Superkey to the Q key
That's it! Now in Blender tapping Q anywhere will start Superkey in its default mode, placing a border around the active space to let you know Superkey is waiting for you to press a key:
Superkey is started
The border is red by default, but you can change that in your config file. Check out Hotkey Config File Format to see how.
