Getting Started

  1. Download the Superkey add-on from Gumroadarrow-up-right and install it.

  2. Tap your Superkey hotkey to start using your hotkeys!

  3. Add more hotkeys your config file. No need to reinstall the add-on, your new hotkeys will work the next time you run Superkey. 🌠

Why Superkey?

Save Valuable Time

Superkey can save you days or even weeks of time in the long run.

Assuming it takes 2 seconds to find and click on a button or menu item, at 200 times a day that's over 40 hours spent per year just clicking through menus and buttons. We can eliminate that wasted time by using the keyboard instead.

Blender has many hotkeys, but there are still a ton of menus that require using the mouse. Quick Favorites is one solution, but can result in another menu to search through.

With no menus, Superkey works at the speed of your muscle memory.

Bind a single key to any number of actions by defining modes. Using Shift, Control, or Alt to perform actions in Blender is now optional.

Switching modes gives you an entirely new layer of keys on your keyboard to bind as hotkeys. The number of modes and their function is up to you. Define a mode just for choosing sculpting brushes, for instance, or a mode just for actions in Edit Mode while modeling.

Almost anything you can do by clicking on a button or menu item can be bound to a hotkey in Superkey, and it's super easy to do.

Works Across Blender Versions

Superkey hotkey definitions live in a plain text file that you edit on your computer. With the Superkey add-on installed, these hotkeys will work no matter what version of Blender you're using, with zero setup. Superkey supports Blender 2.93 and up.
